Louanne provided us with extremely useful feedback on the first draft of our bid, which was successful, allowing us to be able to deliver the project. The general planning and advice from Louanne has been very important to us shaping our business plan and identifying the steps to progress, including support around us beginning delivery with a pilot project.

Louanne Roberts was excellent. She was thorough, straight forward and put herself out to help. Really positive and we have kept in touch since receiving the grant. I highly recommend Louanne. Looked at the financial figures. Talked about changes that should be made, which we acted upon, worked on future plans and where and how to best allocate my time. Great.

It was particularly useful. Especially when you are faced with a new, sometimes daunting challenge it has been great to be able to get on the phone or email to someone in the know, like Louanne, to talk through the best way forward and get straightforward advice that can be acted upon.

I had been thinking about starting my own business but had no idea where to start. SEE Ahead came into my life at just the right time. SEE Ahead helped me understand how to start a business, make a business plan, apply for a business loan, and find a property. Without the help of SEE Ahead’s workshops, peer mentoring and one to one sessions I don’t think I would have started my own business.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to attend your Do Your Own Thing programme with SEE Ahead. I have really enjoyed the programme, have learnt lots, and become more confident in areas I was previously not confident. You were all lovely and it was a pleasure to attend.

I would highly recommend the Do Your Own Thing! Programme. I found it both inspirational and challenging. The course tutors were knowledgeable and supportive, and the programme offers a great balance between taught sessions and one to one support.

DYOT is a great mix of business knowledge and self-confidence building and the use of coaching techniques was really positive and empowering for me. The programme really enabled me to get back on my feet following being made redundant and without doubt it gave me the confidence to apply for the post I have since secured.
