EU procurement rules to be replaced
30th June 2022
A new Bill will introduce new UK procurement rules to help level the playing field for small and medium-sized businesses and drive economic growth. The Procurement Bill is expected to become law in 2023, and will revoke hundreds of complicated and bureaucratic EU rules and replace them with a single, simple and flexible framework for securing public sector contracts. The reforms will reduce costs and make it easier for businesses bidding for contracts, particularly smaller firms with less experience of procurement processes.
