Increase in support for self-employed

Grant payments made under the Self-employment Income Support Scheme (SEISS) for November 2020 to January 2021 will now be calculated at 80% of average trading profits instead of 55%. The increase will mean the maximum grant payable will be £7,500. The Government has also announced that the minimum income floor (MIF) for self-employed Universal Credit claimants won’t apply until the end of April 2021. The MIF was due to be re-introduced from 12 November 2020.
